Tao Lin, the founder of URBANEVE Studio is a multi-disciplinary designer and photographer whose work spans across architecture, interior, product, graphic, web, commercial photography, and whatever challenge comes forth. His work reveals a refined yet powerful vision over an expanding array of innovative ideas and builds upon the aesthetic standards and exquisite restraint of modern minimalism. His thinking reflects the core values of an artist who believes in design that is creative, clean, and clear.

Tao’s quest to make his design essential is characterized by the balance between artistic innovation and business orientation.

In 2008, Tao graduated from Parsons School of Design. Instead of becoming a full-time designer, he became an entrepreneur who co-founded a new denim fashion brand FIV5PM with over $620K profit in China in less than 3 years. Although the business is progressing, Tao finds his best interest was to enhance business opportunity through branding and marketing innovation. Thus, after standardized the production, distribution, and operation departments of the company and built an e‐commerce channel for retail, Tao pulled himself out of the company and returned to his hometown Atlanta to pursue his passion of business design by setting up his design studio in early 2013. He still works as the design director of the brand to continually help it to grow as of today.

As a previous business owner who has had the experience overseeing and managing the entire business process and as a multi‐disciplinary designer and photographer, Tao believes he could maximize business results to business owners in different industry by providing creative solutions that are cost effective, innovative and visually pleasing.
